Stimulation and Educational Play

Carlos, who is 7 years old (well, nearly 8), has enjoyed himself a lot in Menudos Corazones’ workshops, and his parents have too, watching him. If the Menudos Corazones Foundation did not exist, we would need to invent it. The work they do is “priceless”. Our family has had the good fortune to benefit from their understanding, their support, their cheerfulness, their humanity and their help. We are eternally grateful for it. In such difficult times, Menudos Corazones has “always” been with us.

Menudos Corazones offers babies, children and young people hospitalised with congenital heart defects educational and leisure activities to stimulate their motor, cognitive and emotional development: massages and sensorial games, workshops and handicrafts, symbolic and strategy games, group dynamics, etc. At the same time, it provides parents or companions with relationship guidance and examples of combined activities that encourage their active involvement in recovery.

These activities take place in Madrid’s Gregorio Marañón, 12 de Octubre and Ramón y Cajal Hospitals.
