Awards

Throughout its existence, Menudos Corazones has received various recognitions for its work, outstanding among which are:

  • Spanish State Volunteer Prize 2012, in the group category, awarded by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality’s Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality.
  • II Edition of the Internet Favourites Awards organised by diariomedico.com, correofarmaceutico.com and dmedicina.com, with recognition for its website (www.menudoscorazones.org) in May 2010.
  • Pfizer Foundation Social Commitment Award for the project Support and leisure/educational activities in hospitals in October 2009.
  • Todo Corazón Prize awarded by the Asociación Todo Corazón of Murcia in February 2009 for its support and work for people with congenital heart defects.
  • Defender of Minors Award from the Community of Madrid for the Summer camp for children and adolescents with congenital heart defects project in December 2008.
  • Special mention in the XI Childhood Awards from the Madrid Institute for Minors and the Family in November 2007, in the Social Organisation category. This award recognised its track record in defending minors’ rights.
  • First prize for the Best Initiative for Service to the Patient from the Fundación Farmaindustria in the Information and Service Organisations category in December 2006.
  • Beter Prize for the most caring hands as recognition for the work carried out to support children and young people with congenital heart defects and their families, in July 2006.
  • Finalist in the Best Initiative for Service to the Patient from the Fundación Farmaindustria in the Information and Service Organisations category in November 2005.
  • Third prize in the XI edition of the Telva Solidaridad Prize in the national category for the Free accommodation for families with children with congenital heart defects project in 2004.
